About Amanda

Dreams Do Come True!

At a very young age, I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. I always had dogs or cats, and at one point even a monkey my aunt had saved from a closing zoo. Animals have always been my passion. At 10 years old I aspired to be a veterinarian, but I started volunteering at animal shelters and walking neighbours dogs.

At 17, I started my riding career at butternut stables.

I got my first horse at 19 and started training him with the help of my coach. I rescued an ex-pacer and rehabilitated and trained her while taking English lessons from Hampton Riding Center.  I moved on to work at Excel Equestrian Stable and was accepted into a Veterinary Assistant course. Working at 2 different vet clinics really opened my eyes to other sides of the horse world. Ultimately I retired from being a Vet assistant after only 4 short years but haven't stopped pursuing work with animals.

After many years of experience in multiple disciplines, I am a

  • Registered Coach through Equestrian Canada

  • Completed my Certification with Equi-Health Canada as a Certified First Aid instructor.

  • Finishing my Certification as a Bodyworker

Celtic Rose Canadians began by falling in love with the breed.

I waited years to be able to find what I thought was the perfect Canadian. Along came Hustlerr just shortly after I laid my old mare to rest. He was born the same month as her and something told me he was the one I had been waiting so long for. We have been working together since Aug 2020 when he came from Alberta to live with me.

He is the inspiration to my goals and the best equine partner I could ask for.
